A strong judge does more than uphold the law. A strong judge helps strengthen the community the law is meant to serve.
I am a lifelong Clevelander, a proud father, and was a practicing attorney for 30 years before being elected as Cleveland Municipal Court Judge. I know this city. I know its people. And I understand that being a judge is about more than deciding cases. It is about protecting the integrity of our courts, strengthening our community, and delivering justice with fairness, consistency, and respect.
For me, the law has always been about service.
For decades, I have been deeply engaged in Cleveland. Through mentoring and working with Cleveland public school students, I have seen what can happen when a young person has someone who shows up, listens, and provides guidance. That commitment continues today as I continue to educate, engage, and encourage our youth.
On the bench, I believe that accountability and opportunity can work together. When appropriate, I connect people with intervention and resources that can help address the underlying challenges and give them a better chance to move forward in life.
That is the leadership I bring to the Cleveland Municipal Court: steady in judgment, firm in principle, engaged in our community, and committed to justice for all.
